Graphite heat exchanger is an energy-saving device that transfers heat between two or more fluids of different temperatures. It transfers heat from high-temperature fluid to low-temperature fluid so that the fluid temperature meets the process requirements. There are four main heat transfer methods for graphite heat exchangers, namely surface heat exchange, heat storage heat exchange, direct contact heat exchange and fluid connection direct heat exchange.

1. Surface heat exchange

Surface heat exchange is to allow two fluids with different temperatures to flow in a space separated by the wall, and complete the heat exchange through the heat conduction of the wall and the convection of the fluid on the wall surface. This heat transfer method is called a surface heat exchanger, including shell and tube heat exchangers, sleeve and tube heat exchangers, and round block hole graphite heat exchangers.

2. Heat storage heat exchange

Thermal storage heat exchange is to transfer heat from high-temperature fluid to low-temperature fluid through a heat storage body composed of solid matter. After the hot medium is heated to a certain temperature by heating the solid matter, the cold medium is heated by the solid matter, thereby realizing heat transfer. This type of heat transfer heat exchanger is called a heat storage heat exchanger, including rotary heat exchangers and valve switching heat exchangers.

3. Direct contact heat exchange

Direct contact heat exchange is to allow two fluids to directly contact for heat exchange. This type of heat transfer heat exchanger is called a direct contact heat exchanger, and common ones include cooling towers and gas condensers.

4. Fluid connection direct heat exchange

Fluid connection direct heat exchange is to connect two surface heat exchangers through a heat carrier circulating in them, allowing the high-temperature fluid to receive heat and release heat to the low-temperature fluid in the low-temperature fluid heat exchanger. This type of heat transfer heat exchanger is called a fluid connection direct heat exchanger.

Through these four heat transfer methods, graphite heat exchangers achieve efficient heat transfer between two or more fluids at different temperatures and are widely used in various industrial fields.
